The HAIC Final Forum was successfully held in September 2016

The HAIC Final Forum was successfully held between the 29th and 30th of September 2016 at Toulouse, France. Its purpose was not only to show and demonstrate the latest results achieved by the project participants but also to provide an opportunity for international experts members of the HAIC Advisory Board, the HIWC project (High Ice Water Content), the EIWG (Engine Ice Working Group), the ICC (Ice Crystals Consortium), the EUROCAE Working Group 95 (Ice Detection System and Weather Radar) to share their work and confront their views during parallel workshop sessions on the following topics:

  • Flight Tests, microphysical properties & Assessment of the CS-25 Appendix P
  • Tools & Simulation
  • Weather Radar Ice Crystals function
  • Ice Crystals Detection System
  • Instrumentation & Test facilities calibration
  • Spaceborne Detection and Nowcasting

The workshops’ outcomes were presented and discussed at the end of the Forum in a dedicated plenary session and the HAIC results and achievements were also showcased through posters, videos and equipment.
